Ophthalmic Artery

The ophthalmic artery is a branch which comes off the internal carotid artery. It goes into the orbit together with the Optic nerve through the Optic canal. Once the ophthalmic artery enters the orbit, it branches into several smaller vessels. One of the these vessels is the central retinal artery.
