Middle Frontal Gyrus
The middle frontal gyrus, or middle frontal convolution, is a cortical strip which runs in an anteroposterior direction in the frontal lobe of the human brain. The middle frontal gyrus is located between the inferior frontal gyrus and the superior frontal gyrus. It constitutes one-third of the frontal lobe. The middle frontal gyrus performs highly cognitive functions as it is involved with superior human consciousness. Its fibers link it with the primary motor cortex, the post central gyrus, and the cerebral peduncles. Middle Frontal Gyrus
